A photography competition to capture the gorgeous autumn landscapes of Taihu New City was officially launched on Sept 23.
The event is jointly sponsored by Wuxi Taihu New City Development Company and Wuxi Daily.
Entries can be submitted by uploading your photos along with a corresponding caption. Images shot on any kind of device can be submitted. The only restriction is that the image must be of Taihu New City.
The window for submitting entries runs from Sept 30 to Nov 30.
Photo submitted should have a minimum of 3,000 pixels with the size ranging from five to ten megabytes. Basic editing including adjustments to the photo's tone and size is allowed, but no cloning or major editing is allowed.
The photos must have been taken by yourself and must never have been previously published.
Once the deadline for entries has passed, one winner will be chosen to receive the gold prize of 5,000 yuan($750). Three runners up will receive a silver prize of 3,000 yuan, while five people will win the bronze prize of 1,000 yuan. All winners will also receive certificates provided by the competition sponsors.
Meanwhile, a vote will be held to choose the Top 10 Scenic Spots in Taihu New City from 20 candidates, and the results will be published by local media including Wuxi Daily and Kuaimen Wang. Everyone who votes in the competition will also be entered into a draw to receive free gifts.
