More than 30 foreign education experts from countries like the USA, UK, Canada, Ireland and Australia took part in the cultural experience activity named "Wuxi in foreign experts' eyes"on Oct 15.
Started in 2014, the activity takes place every year and aims at promoting the cultural experience of foreign education experts who are working in the city.
This year they toured around the Huishan Ancient Town and China Clay Figurine Museum, deepening their understanding of profound Chinese culture and history.
When she was asked about her impression of the city, Janet Edward, an American working as an English teacher at Wuxi United International School (WUIS) said, "Wuxi is very beautiful and people in the city are very friendly."
Another teacher from WUIS surnamed Clive also answered the question. He said Wuxi has convenient transportation and a livable environment. The tour also greatly aroused his interest in Chinese clay figurines.
The number of introduced foreign education experts is increasing year upon year in Wuxi. Most of them have abundant teaching experience and impressive qualifications in their own countries, which gives a boost to the international communication and exchanges between Wuxi and other countries across the world.
