Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Wuxi, Jiangsu province are ushering in a new standardized production era with two private tech firms in the city's Yangming Sensor Information Park initiating the critical first steps.
Wuxi Chenrui New Energy Technology Co and Createmax Electronics Technology (Wuxi) Co recently signed strategic cooperation agreements with Bernhard Thies, chairman of the German Commission for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies of DIN and VDE, for a future co-effort in the R&D for electrical engineering and electronic projects.
Hired as a special consultant of the two firms, Bernhard Thies, holding a doctorate in electrical engineering, will take advantage of his extensive knowledge to help bring in cutting-edge technological achievements serving as a boost to the R&D capability of his employers.
The cooperation not only benefits the sustainable development of Chenrui and Createmax, but also provides a stimulus to all the industrial insiders in Wuxi, including Xiao Dong, an official at the city’s productivity promotion center, who frankly holds an optimistic attitude towards the cooperation’s positive influences on the city’s new period of standardized production.
For most local SMEs that have been qualified to enter the global market, non-standardized production is a barrier impeding further progress of business expansion, said Xiao. He expects the big deal can inspire a little enlightenment for these enterprises to find their way onto a broader stage.
Hui Yong, general manager of Createmax, said the foundation of standardized production should be laid through continuous efforts. He hopes the introduction of the German standardized management system can boost the company’s R&D abilities to a higher level.
Besides the aim of enhancing production and innovation capability, the company is also fostering talent to develop back-up forces in the field of RFID and inductive components to keep up pace with globally leading giants, the manager added.
