The Wuxi Marathon is widely celebrated as one of China's most beautiful marathons and runners will pass many of the city's famous attractions, including Turtle Head Isle Scenic Spot, Jiangnan University, Changguangxi Wetland Park, Lihu Park, and Wuxi Grand Theatre.
More than 3,000 well-trained volunteers will work to ensure a smooth and safe event by lining to water stands and providing help and assistance throughout the day. The organizers have arranged the service of 13 ambulances, a helicopter, 128 medical workers, 24 first aid stations, and five designated hospitals to ensure the health and safety of participants. Additionally, 400 first aid volunteers will be placed at points along the route.
There will be a water drinking station every two kilometers and five stations in the latter portion of the race will supply runners with food. Additionally, temporary and public toilets will be provided to give runners as much convenience as possible.
The Wuxi Marathon, first launched in 2014, is the only full-length marathon held in Jiangsu province. It aims to develop into a first-class marathon event in China. It aims to promote a healthy lifestyle, improve the image of Wuxi, and contribute to the city's economic growth.
