More than 670 million yuan ($100 million) was spent at the 7th China (Wuxi) International Cultural and Art Industries Fair in Wuxi, Jiangsu province on Oct 12-16, 26 percent more than at last year's event.
Around 130,000 visitors flocked to the Wuxi Taihu International Expo Center, the main venue of the fair, to enjoy the thousands of traditional handicrafts and modern technologies on display.
Booths for 855 exhibitors from 15 different countries and regions filled the expo center's 32,000 square meters of exhibition space, including more than 200 renowned craftspeople and masters of intangible cultural traditions.
Many professional collectors were also at the event, with several spending eye-watering sums to snap up the finest artworks.
