Jiangsu province will hold a cultural festival in Hong Kong from April 20-22, bringing its local performances, intangible cultural heritages, traditional dishes and high-quality products to Victoria Park in Hong Kong.
Sponsored by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and the Federation of Hong Kong Jiangsu Community, the "Rendezvous with Water Towns" Jiangsu Cultural Carnival will invite intangible cultural heritage inheritors and owners of old restaurants from Jiangsu to bring authentic elements of Jiangsu culture to Hong Kong.
Three national intangible cultural heritage inheritors from Wuxi were invited to the carnival, including masters of Yixing purple clay, Yixing Jun-glazed pottery, and Huishan clay figurines.

Wuxi has been carrying out intangible cultural heritage preservation work for 14 years, following the principle of "protection according to law, scientific protection and effective protection".
Attaching great importance to the discovery and management of intangible cultural heritage items and the training of inheritors, Wuxi has given priority to national treasures and traditions such as Huishan clay figurines, Wuxi embroidery, Liuqing bamboo carving and Wuxi opera.
Wuxi frequently carries out digitalization projects to protect cultural items, and has already completed the digital collections of several national-level inheritors and seven intangible cultural heritage items such as Wuxi Huishan clay figurines, Wuxi embroidery, Wuxi Taoist music, Wu songs, Wuxi Pingqu and Yuqi wine.
