Beijing Sensoro Technology, a domestic high-tech company, showcased its achievements at the 2018 World Internet of Things (IoT) Expo held in Wuxi.

The results include a self-developed end-to-end IoT product line, a city-level intelligent firefighting alarm system and a new generation of artificial intelligence AI products.

The company developed a palm-sized sensor that can detect smoke and immediately transmit data to an IoT base station within 10 kilometers. Users will be informed of potential fire risks through their computers and smart phones.

"I witnessed the integration of high-tech and our lives and the application of China's IoT technology in the field of security," said a visitor after experiencing the application of the firefighting alarm system.

Sensoro independently developed a complete IoT product line including the IoT chip, sensor, base station and cloud platform, which will not be affected by power and network failures, according to an employee of the company.

Sensoro has always adhered to the absolute principle of mastering core technology, according to Zhao Wuyang, CEO of the company.

The firefighting alarm system is an important link in pushing for the development of smart cities.

The company's IoT base station features long-distance transmission of wireless signals over more than 10 kilometers, which is suitable for urban IoT construction.

The system has been used in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province, where it detected 128 potential fire risks in six months, setting an example for the nation for application of the IoT in firefighting.

In Beijing where Sensoro first established a city-level IoT network, the area within the Fifth Ring Road has been covered with IoT signaling. The firefighting system alerted authorities to more than 30 fires in six months and ensured safety in Feijia village, an urban village in Beijing.

Sensoro's IoT technology has been applied to the protection of cultural relics, such as the Jokhang Temple and Ramoche Temple in Lhasa in the Tibet Autonomous Region. Wireless communication and deployment, and pre-warning alerts allow for innovative firefighting systems for cultural relics.

Miao Wei, Minister of Industry and Information Technology, said on the World IoT Wuxi Summit that as an important support for the development of the digital economy, IoT plays a significant role in promoting industrial transformation and upgrading, as well as energy saving, and brings unprecedented opportunities for economic and social development. He proposed concerted efforts to promote its development and create a better life for mankind.

According to an employee of Sensoro, the IoT network will be used in more areas such as AI, smart transportation and logistics, realizing industrialized development of smart cities.
