The Round Lihu Lake International Half Marathon in Binhu district, Wuxi city, has been awarded a Gold Label by the Chinese Athletic Association Monday in recognition of its status as one of the nation's leading road races.
Starting from 2016, the race attracted over 10,000 applicants from all over the world each year. In 2018, all projects of the event filled up only in four hours.
Runners can enjoy unique autumn scenery on the racing track across core scenic spots in Lihu Lake, including Lihu park and Yuantouzhu, voted the most beautiful track in 2016.

"The honor is not only a laurel to the host of the race, but also recognition of a city's comprehensive management capacity," said an official of the Bureau of Culture Sports and Tourism of Binhu district.
This year's race will open in November. Local departments will make overall arrangements to bring every runner quality service and the best experience.
