"I walked 29,185 steps within this hotel yesterday!" said Liu Zijian, apparently pleased with himself.
Liu is a sophomore from Taihu University of Wuxi and member of the school's Youth Volunteer Union. He took part in the "signing and guiding" volunteer group. Despite doing the repetitive work for 16 hours, Liu said that a single "thank you" made it all worthwhile.

Hua Rongzhen, an English teacher from the same school, who, unlike Liu, has not done much voluntary work, served as a VIP translator.
"I value this opportunity so much; it's all about giving back," said Hua.
