Ratingen, Germany and Wuxi's Huishan district signed to become sister cities on May 14, 2007.
Ratingen, founded in 1276, is located in the Ruhr Industrial Area in the north of the Nordrhein-Westfalen of German with an area of 89 square kilometers and a population of 92,000.
Ratingen, a famous city for leisure in German and an industrial base, is called a "green lung" of the Ruhr Industrial Area owning to its historical architectures and beautiful surroundings. Some International Enterprises like the ABB, SAP, Vodafone, Esprit were attracted by its beautiful environment.
