Fujioka, Japan and Jiangyin signed to become sister cities on April 28, 2000.
Fujioka, lying in the south of Gunma Prefecture in Japan, has a population of 70,000 and an area of 180 square kilometers. As one of the important industrial and commercial cities, Fujioka is famous for producing tiles. Lots of ancient tomb gathering here makes Gunma Prefecture a significant historic site. Camphor trees and osmanthus fragrans are its city trees; and wisterias are its city flowers.
