Located in southern France and as the capital of Gard Province, Nimes has an area of 161.85 square kilometers and a metropolitan population of 140,000. The population of Greater Nimes is 240,000, ranking the 20th place in France. Its main industries are agro-biological engineering, pharmaceuticals, logistics and services. With a rapid-developed pharmaceutical industry, it is the research center for anti-cancer drugs in France.
