Wuxi established a 5G industrial alliance on July 9, aiming to promote the integration of 5G technology with other industries.
Guided by the Wuxi Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau and sponsored by eight enterprises including Wuxi Mobile, Wuxi 5G Industrial Alliance is a non-profit social organization composed of 40 5G enterprises and research institutes.
The alliance will work to promote the development of 5G network in Wuxi, including basic construction, application, industrial upgrading and talent cultivation.
During the launching ceremony, Wuxi Mobile, Wuxi Daily and the Wuxi branch of Bank of Jiangsu agreed to cooperate on the research and development of better applications of 5G technology.
A video of Huishan clay figurines was played during the ceremony using both 4G and 5G, highlighting the ultra-high definition and low latency of the latter.
