A group of international students from Jiangnan University in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, went on a trip to discover the culture and economic development of the city on Sept 21 to 22.
Sponsored by the China Scholarship Council (CSC), the event aimed to promote the Chinese culture among the overseas students and make them learn about the achievements of the country since its founding 70 years ago.
All the 72 participants are winners of the CSC scholarships, from countries including Pakistan, Yemen, Egypt and Kazakhstan.
During the two-day trip, the students visited Yixing and Jiangyin, the two county-level cities in Wuxi and a garment company in Xishan district. They experienced a series of cultural activities and visited museums to have a better understanding of the city.
