Wuxi Museum kicked off an exhibition marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China during the National Day holiday.
The exhibition, which runs to the end of November, is displaying over 700 pictures and hundreds of old items that show the history and development of Wuxi over the past 70 years.
The exhibition features sections on the memorable moments and changes to the city’s economy, its transportation, rural revitalization, cultural inheritance and environmental protection.
Over 150 old black-and-white photographs and hundreds of old items -- including Wuxi-made antique fans, and televisions -- are being exhibited to show the changing pace of life during times of change.

During the National Day holiday, the exhibition received about 30,000 visits, of whom some 2,000 visitors participated in knowledge quizzes, according to Wuxi Museum.
The exhibition will last until the end of November and a mobile version of it will be available soon.
