Cutting-edge technology in Leyard's Micro LED stood out during CES 2020, a top global consumer electronics show, on Jan 8.
In December, the Beijing-based visual media product manufacturer agreed to build the world's first mass production center for the world's smallest Micro LED display products using mass transfer technology in Wuxi's Liangxi district.
The center is expected to finish construction during the first half of 2020 and begin operating in the third quarter. It will research, develop, manufacture, and commercialize Mini LED and Micro LED. It is expected to generate 5 billion yuan ($724 million) in annual sales.
In recent years, Leyard has been promoting the upgrading of the home appliance industry through high-end and smart revolutionary technology. Though it is a new player in the electronics consumer market, it has already been recognized by Global Top Brands for its competitive products, outstanding service capabilities, and strong brand influence.
According to an official from the Liangxi industry and information technology bureau, representatives from the company conveyed trust in the business environment of Liangxi district, as it took only two months to greenlight the project.
As the world's leading pioneer in audiovisual technology, Leyard hopes to transform the TV industry with its new wave of Mini LED and Micro LED technology.
With the support of Leyard, Liangxi district is expected to pilot the manufacture of LED and use the products to develop a "nighttime economy".
