Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province officially resumed work on Monday after the holiday period.
Over 2,000 enterprises reopened on the first day, 1,800 of which are industrial enterprises above designated size. Medical companies accounted for a high proportion of the enterprises in terms of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic.

Jiangyin Nantai Home Textiles Co Ltd set up seven steps to prevent the potential spread of the infection. Workers are asked to wash their faces and hands, sterilize soles and overcoats and undergo a 20-minute observation session.
Many high-tech and internet enterprises in Wuxi National Hi-tech District also implemented flexible office hours to help staff members avoid busy travel dates and peak commuting hours.
Enterprises should resume work in batches based on the local epidemic situation in various regions, in order to guarantee both the prevention of the novel coronavirus and stable economic growth, according to the local government.
