An online signing ceremony for 11 technology projects was held through a video conference on Feb 18 in Wuxi National Hi-tech District, in order to maintain economic growth amid the novel coronavirus break.
Besides the 11 projects, other 16 ones will also be signed soon after. The 27 technology projects focused on internet of things, software and information services, biomedicine, big data and financial funds. The total investment will reach 1.5 billion yuan ($214 million), according to officials.
All participating enterprises praised the government for holding the video signing ceremony in light of the virus outbreak.
Xu Mingxiang, chairman of Suzhou Rongcard Co, attended the video conference in Shenzhen. He said he was impressed by the business environment in Wuxi National Hi-tech District during his visit last November. The video signing not only demonstrated WND's commitment to pushing ahead with development, but also aligned with the development plan of the company – which focuses on online business and services.
