Under the new system, the employer and foreign applicant can complete the application and submit necessary supporting documents electronically. An online management service system for foreign workers in China (Management Service System) established by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs will manage the online registration process. The following documents are required:
1) Original passport and valid visa (visa better still valid over 30 days)
2) Digital photos
3) An applicant form
4) A certificate of medical examination
5) A certificate of no criminal conviction
6) A valid visa
7) A job contract or certificate of employment
8) A job qualification certificate
9) A certificate of the highest academic degree obtained by the applicant
10) Other materials as may be required
Documents required for the applicant's employer:
1) Registration form
2) Business license and organization code certificate
3) ID information of the employer/agent who is responsible for the registration
4) Industry license documents
Some application materials previously required, such as an invitation letter, the application form for permit card, the original or office copy of permit, resumes in Chinese and English, and an employment intention letter, are no longer required.
