Wuxi will work to develop two innovation and entrepreneurship competitions to discover more talents. The Taihu Lake Cup competition, which takes entries until April 20, collects over 1,500 innovation projects from all over the world working on internet of things, new generation information technology, life technology and advanced manufacturing industries. The award-winning projects share a bonus pool of 300,000 yuan and enjoy preferential talent and financial policies if they develop in Wuxi valued at least 500,000 yuan.
Categories for "high-end medical expert teams" and an "excellent medical expert teams" have been introduced to Wuxi's talent plan and can receive subsidies of 10 million yuan and 5 million yuan respectively. Medical experts who are brought into these teams can get a rent subsidy of up to 5,000 yuan per month.
Support policies for local talents and folk artistry inheritors are also stressed in the program. Wuxi will deepen the new three-year cooperation plan with top overseas universities to develop quality entrepreneurs in Wuxi. Also, local folk artistry inheritors who help residents make good incomes through industrial development can receive a subsidy of up to 10 million yuan.
Several online job fairs will be held by May in light of the virus outbreak.
High-end talents who are listed in national key talent plans can get a green pass to attend the final judgment session for getting the city's financial support from the talent programs.
The Wuxi government will continue to attract talents and establish related platforms, including holding exchange conferences for high-level talents and overseas recruitment. In addition, a human resources industrial park will be built to strengthen cooperation with staffing institutions, intermediary services organizations and the high-level talents market.
