China (Wuxi) Cross Border E-Commerce Institute at Taihu University of Wuxi opened on April 1.
Sponsored by Wuxi Cross Border E-Commerce Comprehensive Experimental Zone and relevant enterprises, the new institute is expected to develop talents to help promote the development of the cross-border e-commerce industry and expand its scale in Wuxi.
Several organizations and enterprises have also signed with the university to help train talents, compile teaching materials and build a cross-border e-commerce industrial park in Wuxi.
Zhou Minwei, chairman of CPPCC Wuxi Municipal Committee, said at the opening ceremony that Taihu University is expected to create a new model of talent training for new industries.
During the opening ceremony, the Blockchain R&D Application Center of Taihu University and three national first-class majors–internet of things engineering, mechanical engineering and accounting – were also launched.
