As the weather warms up, rhododendrons, the city flower of Wuxi, are coming into full bloom in Wuxi's Huishan Ancient Town.
The annual cultural tourism festival in Huishan Ancient Town had its opening ceremony online on April 1 in light of the coronavirus outbreak. The festival was due to last until May 10.
Over 50,000 pots and 600 varieties of rhododendrons are on exhibition in the town, making it the best place in Wuxi to enjoy the flowers.
In April, over 340 pots and 30 varieties of peonies are also being displayed in the scenic area, which are showy to cast the other flowers into the shade.
Huishan Ancient Town, well-known for its rich history and culture, will organize a series of cultural activities during the festival as well, including calligraphy and painting exhibitions, Chinese dance performances and intangible cultural heritage shows.
