The full-dome cinema located in Wuxi's Yuantouzhu Scenic Area (Turtle Head Isle) can provide visitors with a delightful 10-minute film of cherry blossoms.
Regarded as one of the world's top three places to enjoy blooming cherry blossoms, Turtle Head Isle Scenic Area is China's largest single cherry blossom habitat and attracts thousands of visitors every spring.
Looking much like a white globe floating on Taihu Lake, the domed cinema has been named "the pearl". The design evolved from technological roots in domed architecture, planetariums, multiprojector film environments, and flight simulation and virtual reality systems.
The 10-minute full-dome film follows a fairy tale, and covers the entire 180-degree domed projection surface, providing viewers with an immersive experience encompassing their entire field of view. Visitors to the scenic area can now enjoy cherry blossoms at all times of the year.
