To promote recovery in the tourism sector, which has been buffeted by the novel coronavirus outbreak, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism held a launch ceremony for 30 recommended travel routes and other preferential policies for tourists in Nianhuawan Scenic Area, Wuxi, April 26.
The 30 recommended travel routes were promoted by many tourism institutions, aiming to provide tourists with healing and relaxing trips. With beautiful natural scenery and charming cultural deposits, travel routes going through Wuxi, Nanjing and Yangzhou are usually the most popular.
Though measures are being taken to revive tourism, epidemic control and prevention remains the priority, officials said.

So far, Jiangsu has opened 447 A-level scenic spots and 1,272 cultural venues. Tourism in open areas in the countryside has taken the lead in showing signs of recovery.
Tourist attractions, cultural institutions, theme parks, resorts and hotels in Jiangsu province have also formulated various preferential policies to attract visitors.
During the ceremony, Wuxi Vice-Mayor Liu Xia presented Jiangsu Garden Cards to the representatives of medical workers fighting against the epidemic in Jiangsu.
