As the Labor Day holiday approaches, the tourist attractions in Wuxi are gearing up for a "Golden Week" for tourism and consumption since China entered the phase of regular epidemic prevention and control.
A dazzling array of interesting activities and performances will be held during the May Day holiday -- from May 1 to 5, including in Lingshan Mountain Scenic Area, Nianhuawan Buddhist Town, Yuantouzhu Scenic Area (Turtle Head Isle), CCTV's Wuxi Movie and TV Production Base, Wuxi Sunac Resort, Huishan Ancient Town, Dangkou Ancient Town and more.
Lingshan Mountain Scenic Area, featuring one of the largest collections of Buddhist architecture and art in China, will provide performances of singing, dancing and traditional cultural etiquette every day.
The scenic area will sell tickets from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm every day during the May Day holiday. As it will limit the number of visitors to 17,400 each day, visitors should book tickets online using their real names at least one day in advance.
In May, its ticket price will be reduced to 185 yuan ($26.2) per person.
Visitors can enjoy a wonderful night show in Nianhuawan Buddhist Town on its newly built "Smile Square", featuring an 18-meter-high moveable sculpture stands at its center.
Nianhuawan will open from 9:00 am to 9:30 pm until May 4, and it will close at 9:00 pm on May 5. Its ticket price is 105 yuan per person in May.
Tourists can not only enjoy various theme events in Nianhuawan, but also experience many handcraft activities there.
