The themed flower exhibition of Wuxi's Huishan Ancient Town won the top award at the Shanghai International Flower Show on April 25.
The flower show, held in Shanghai Botanical Garden, will last until May 5. Under the theme of “Delicate Horticulture, Beautiful Life”, the organizers invited 42 domestic horticultural firms and 15 foreign institutions, including ones from England, France and Germany, to exchange ideas on garden design and flower planting.
The 40-hectare themed exhibition involved 13 enterprises and institutions showcasing regional customs and life in different countries.
Huishan Ancient Town, one of the two Chinese exhibitors, displays its water town integrated with Jiangnan-style grey tiled roofs, ivory walls and a well. Visitors can enjoy a typical Jiangnan-style courtyard decorated with all kinds of colorful flowers from Huishan Ancient Town.
