Jiangyin National High-tech Zone and Shanghai's Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park will deepen cooperation for integrated development, according to a meeting held in Shanghai on May 27.
The two parties will build an innovation incubator in Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park that will focus on strategic emerging industries such as integrated circuits, the internet of things, big data, life health, and new materials.
They will work to introduce university research institutes, industrial finance, high-end talents and more to push the development of quality innovative projects and train more talents. With the new incubator, high-tech projects will conduct research and development and be incubated in Shanghai and then industrialized in Jiangyin.
In recent years, Jiangyin has undertaken various projects that originated in Shanghai, including the headquarters of CITIC Pacific Special Settle Group, and Jiangsu Changjiang Electronics Technology Co Ltd acquired STATS ChipPAC Ltd, a Singapore-based manufacturer of semiconductor packaging and testing equipment.
Officials from Jiangyin said that this pattern will continue to join in the integrated development of Yangtze River Delta region and explore more ways to achieve high-quality development.
