Four cities and districts in Yangtze River Delta region will make joint efforts to develop the internet of things (IoT) industry, according to a deal signed during the 2020 Forum of Major Leaders of the Yangtze River Delta in Huzhou, Zhejiang province on June 6.
The four parties -- Wuxi in Jiangsu province, Jiading district in Shanghai, Hangzhou in Zhejiang province, and Hefei in Anhui province -- will work with state-run technology enterprise China Electronics Technology HIK Group Co Ltd (CETHIK) to promote the integration of IoT sensing, storage, and computing.
CETHIK is currently developing the IoT industry in Wuxi and Hangzhou. The new deal states that CETHIK's Wuxi base, also known as Huihaiwan town, will provide a better environment for the development of the intelligent controller industry and help extend the industrial chain for the internet of vehicles.
The cooperation is a move to better distribute workloads in the industrial chain and take better advantage of various locations throughout the Yangtze River Delta region, according to representatives involved in the IoT industry.
