Wuxi, a city in East China's Jiangsu province, offers many higher education resources for students from around the world.
The Wuxi branch of Southeast University and the Jiangyin branch of Nanjing University of Science and Technology will both welcome their first class of students in September, according to officials.
The Wuxi branch of Southeast University is an international educational institute that mainly trains master's and doctoral students, but also offers programs for undergraduate students. The campus has three undergraduate majors, namely information engineering, electronic science and technology, and internet of things engineering, all of which are included in the electronic information (Wuxi) category for enrollment and training. All students will first study in Nanjing for two years and then in Wuxi for the following two years.
The Jiangyin branch of Nanjing University of Science and Technology plans to enroll 340 undergraduates, over 1,100 graduate students, and a number of international students this autumn. Undergraduates can choose between four majors on the campus, including intelligent manufacturing engineering and new energy science and engineering.
The Wuxi campus of the Binjiang College of Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology will enroll 2,700 undergraduates this year. Three majors were recently added at Binjiang College, namely transportation, information security, and artificial intelligence. The applied chemistry major will also be reopened.
In addition, the Scotland Academy of Wuxi Taihu University, launched on July 26, will enroll 300 students annually starting this year and offer undergraduate majors like internet of things, computer science and technology, communication engineering, engineering management, and digital art.
Students will study at Wuxi Taihu University for three years and at the University of the West of Scotland for one year. Graduates will receive a bachelor's degree from both universities and be eligible to continue studying for master's and doctoral degrees.
