With the rapid development of new technologies, especially 5G, more innovative measures have been applied in the Wuxi National Hi-tech District Free Trade Zone to improve the business environment there.
Jabil Circuit (Wuxi) Co, established in the FTZ in 2004, has applied 5G technology to intelligent manufacturing, plant construction and operation management, making it the largest and most complete 5G intelligent manufacturing base of Jabil Group worldwide.
The company's new smart plant, which covers about 10,000 square meters, could realize intelligent manufacturing, home offices and online communication and training with the integration of 5G with the internet of things and machines.

The FTZ has also been working recently on the construction of "5G + electronic port". In May, the new version of the Nanjing Customs Huiyantong intelligent electronic fence system successfully switched applications in Zone B of the FTZ.
The system not only speeded up inspection and clearance of enterprise goods, but also helped check the goods, making the clearance logistics of Wuxi Customs more intelligent.
With a newly developed 5G parking system, the FTZ has provided 521 more parking lots for workers and visitors this year. The parking system can recognize licenses automatically, provide energy-saving lighting and collect fees online.
Officials from Wuxi National Hi-tech District Free Trade Zone said they will continue to improve innovation to make the FTZ smarter and more convenient.
