Designs for the school are intended to humanize students. The school will include a number of semi-outdoor spaces to connect each building, and students will even be able to safely enjoy outdoor activities on the tops of some of the buildings.
An underground garage with 190 parking spaces will also be built beneath East Zhongnan Road, in order to make things more convenient for parents and alleviate traffic congestion.
Officials said that construction will begin soon on the junior high school.
Hu Jinping, deputy dean of the School of Educational Science of Nanjing Normal University and a doctor of education, will be appointed as the school's chief president.
