A signing ceremony for a memorandum of cooperation between Microsoft (China) Co Ltd and the Wuxi municipal government was held on Nov 27, local media reported.
Under the agreement, the two sides will undertake a new round of cooperation involving artificial intelligence, internet of things, industrial internet, intelligent manufacturing and talent training.
Wuxi Party Chief Huang Qin attended the signing ceremony and said that the city has cooperated with Microsoft for years in smart industries and smart city development.
Huang said the new accord would help drive the development of new generation information technologies and intelligent manufacturing, help develop more leading local factories using the industrial internet and production bases applying the internet and advanced manufacturing, and attract more talents to come and work in the city's smart industries.
Zou Zuoji, COO of Microsoft (China) Co Ltd, noted that cooperation with Wuxi has helped the company to open and expand in the Asia Pacific region.
Zou added that the company would provide technological support to enterprises in Wuxi to establish overseas businesses, and introduce cutting-edge technologies that could be applied in the city.
