The Wuxi Modern Agricultural Industrial Park received the title of "Xishan National Modern Agricultural Industrial Park" on Nov 27 due to its strong development and the breakthroughs it has made in modern agriculture.
During the ceremony, 15 agricultural projects worth 760 million yuan ($116.2 million) were signed with the Xishan National Modern Agricultural Industrial Park, focusing on the research and development, cultivation, processing and sales of new varieties of agricultural products such as edible fungi, flowers, fruits and vegetables, and rice, as well as fields such as intelligent agricultural machinery, green ecological agriculture, and leisure tourism.
The park, the only one in Jiangsu province to receive the title this year, is developing a one-stop service center with the most seeds and seedlings, richest variety, highest level of functionality, most advanced supporting facilities, and free agricultural product sales channels in Wuxi and the province.

The newly-opened seed and seedling breeding exhibition center, with a total investment of 15 million yuan ($2.3 million), is made up of three special-shaped steel structure glass greenhouses.
The center will be mainly used for the planting, demonstration, display and trading of seeds and seedlings and will integrate modern agricultural sightseeing, demonstration, display, leisure and entertainment, officials said.
The agricultural products comprehensive service center, opened on the same date, displays and sells various quality local agricultural products, including freshwater Australian lobster developed in Xishan district, chrysanthemums products developed in Shanlian village, hairy crabs and new rice, along with over 500 agricultural products from Haidong town, Qinghai province.
