A total of eight Wuxi-based incubators dedicated to technology enterprises were classed as A-level in 2019 by the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology, local media reported on Jan 15.
By the end of 2019, Wuxi High-tech Business Incubator Co Ltd has developed 427 enterprises, ranking first in East China's Jiangsu province.
Kuang Hong, the company's director, said that their company has provided enterprises with many services, such as shared platforms and laboratories, working spaces, training courses, clinical trials, as well as registration and listing assistance.
Industrial leaders have also benefited from the development of small- and medium-sized enterprises.
AstraZeneca has helped to select and introduce a high-quality enterprise involved in the biomedicine industry to Wuxi International Life Science Innovation Campus (I Campus). About half of the 30 biomedical enterprises doing business in the I Campus are based on the ecological business environment developed by AstraZeneca.
Statistics show that by the end of 2020, Wuxi has built scientific and technological innovation carriers, totaling over 7.2 million square meters, as well as 56 incubators dedicated to technology enterprises, including 23 national level ones and 21 provincial level ones. The amount of local incubators classed as national A- and B-level increased by 13.64 percent year-on-year.
