More than 7,000 companies in Wuxi have received thank-you letters from the General Office of the Wuxi Leading Group for Business Promotion and Protection since the beginning of 2021.
Officials said they would like to express their gratitude on behalf of the city for the efforts that local enterprises have made over the past year, as well as to encourage companies to continue to develop well this year.
Yan Hongjiao from Wuxi Wansi Textile Co said that in 2020, their company had the most communication with the government and received most door-to-door visits from official departments.
Yan thanked the government for their support in helping the company implement COVID-19 prevention and control measures, as well as to resume their operations in a timely manner.
In order to help local enterprises fight against the COVID-19 and reduce losses caused by the epidemic, Wuxi has released 20 preferential measures oriented to epidemic-affected enterprises. A series of 10 measures for promoting foreign investment were also announced in 2020.
For overseas workers who had difficulty returning to work in time, the local business bureau applied for more than 3,000 visa invitation letters for foreigners working in China for more than 400 companies.
The letter also noted that the city will strive to develop the best business environment and most favorable conditions for foreign investors, as well as provide high-quality and efficient on-demand services for enterprises.
