Huangxian Station of Wuxi's metro line 4 will pilot the application of a series of smart technologies to optimize passengers' transportation experience and promote the station's management, according to Wuxi Metro Group on Feb 22.
With technologies based on big data and artificial intelligence, the station will automatically sound an alarm if the escalator is overloaded or if passengers faint suddenly.
In addition, when passengers enter the station hall, they can search for related transfer information, such as subway lines, buses, and shared bicycles through a large smart-touch screen, and even reserve for surrounding restaurants.
For questions passengers may have about the station's basic situation, they can also click the screen to find answers, which saves time for the station's workers.
The latest technologies will also be applied during the construction of the station, aiming to deal with problems through smart systems, including monitoring passenger flow, temperature, and emergencies.
Officials said that such smart station construction will be applied to metro line 5, the second phase of line 4, and Wuxi-Yixing S2.
