Projects promoting the cooperation of Wuxi, Suzhou, and Changzhou have seen rapid development in recent days, according to a forum on the integrated development of the three cities held on March 10.
The three cities have started to promote systematic integrated development on transportation, technological innovation, and credit application since last April.
Wuxi Sunan Shuofang International Airport has built aviation buildings in Suzhou and Changzhou to better serve passengers in the two cities.
A total of 14 buses now drive between the three cities. In addition, Wuxi plans to connect with Changzhou in the west with its metro line 3 and with Suzhou in the east with its metro line 5.
From April 2020 to February 2021, a total of 126,000 Wuxi residents with medical insurance have received settlement service for medical treatment in Suzhou and Changzhou, amounting to 25.46 million yuan.
Wuxi's Xishan and Huishan districts' administrative approval bureaus have cooperated with Taicang and Changshu, enabling people to deal with issues related with social insurance without having to go back to their jurisdiction. The staff can connect with workers at the jurisdiction to review application materials and send the results through EMS or online delivery.
Officials said that more projects will be carried out to shorten the time required to travel between the three cities and to promote the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
