The trip concluded with an afternoon visit to Wuxi Studios, which offered the participants an up-close look at the film production process. As a national digital film park and the filming location for a number of movies, television dramas and variety shows, it is regarded as a place of intense interest for fans.
"I wish I could live here," said Dheeman Roy Munna, a Bangladeshi student at Yangzhou University, who loves making videos and is very interested in the film industry, "I would definitely come back here again!"
Many of the expats were impressed by the beauty of spring in Wuxi through the two-day trip. "This is a memorable event with many new friends," said Muhammad Fahad Baqa, a Pakistani post-graduate research scholar at Aerospace Information Research Institute, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Pakistan has a long and friendly relationship with China and is also an important part of the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) –– I will try my best to bring the two cultures together, added Baqa.
The "Go Jiangsu" series of trips are organized by China Daily and the Information Office of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government to promote the province to an international audience. A total of 13 events have been held since 2018.
