Wuxi was listed among the top 10 cities in China with the highest foreign investor satisfaction in 2020 on April 2.
The listed cities included Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou, according to an assessment conducted by the Global Times.
Wuxi saw its actual use of foreign capital last year hit $3.62 billion. To date, over 15,000 foreign enterprises have received approval to do business in Wuxi.
In 2020, a total of 70 projects receiving $30 million each in investment were approved and registered in the city, 20 more than in 2019.
Investments from international corporate heavyweights promoted the city's development over the past year.
A total of 104 Fortune Global 500 companies, including Caterpillar, General Electric, Panasonic, Sony, SK, Samsung, Siemens, and Bosch, have invested $22.02 billion to build 209 enterprises in Wuxi.
The total output value of foreign-invested industrial enterprises accounted for more than one-third of the city's total. The foreign-related taxes accounted for about 30 percent of the city's total.
In 2020, Wuxi worked to improve its business environment and implemented a variety of policies to attract foreign investment, which has successfully attracted the attention of international enterprises and investors.
