Wuxi Boton Technology Co, located in the Wuxi National Hi-tech District, was one of three winners of this year's Wuxi Mayor Quality Award, according to an official announcement on April 9.
Only 32 local enterprises signed up for the award this year due to its high standards, a year-on-year growth of 23.1 percent. Among them, 14 are involved in strategic emerging industries such as integrated circuits, biomedicine, and high-end equipment manufacturing.
A director of Wuxi Port Machinery Co said that the award will help the company earn more trust in the domestic market. The company has become more aware of the importance of quality when it comes to industry competition and expanding into the global market.
While going through the process of applying for awards, many local enterprises have also learned advanced management concepts, improved management processes, and developed unique and effective management methods.
Established in 2006, the Wuxi Mayor Quality Award is the highest honor given by the Wuxi Municipal People's Government to leading enterprises and organizations with advanced quality management methods.
