As the Labor Day holiday approaches, various tourist attractions in Wuxi are gearing up for a "Golden Week" for tourism and consumption as the COVID-19 pandemic is increasingly brought under control in China.
A dazzling array of interesting activities and performances will be held during the May Day holiday -- from May 1 to 5, including in Lingshan Mountain Scenic Area, Nianhuawan Buddhist Town, Yuantouzhu Scenic Area (Turtle Head Isle), CCTV's Wuxi Movie and TV Production Base, Wuxi Sunac Resort, Wuxi Zoo, Ehu Rose Cultural Park, and more.
CCTV's Wuxi Movie and TV Production Base, featuring three major scenic areas -- Three Kingdoms City, Tang City and Shuihu City, is a popular theme park that combines movies and television with tourism. Various dance dramas and stunt shows will be staged in the park daily, focusing on classic Chinese stories.
The scenic area will open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm every day during the May Day holiday.
The Wuxi Zoo is expected to be popular among families with children. The zoo has become home to a number of baby zebras, lemurs, cows, and sloths, as well as a sea of blooming flowers.
With roughly 500 species of roses and rosa chinensis spread throughout the park, Ehu Rose Cultural Park in Xishan district is an ideal place to admire flowers and enjoy some great views. The park is home to a number of old rosa chinensis trees with nearly 10,000 flowers blooming every spring.
