The main summit of the 2021 New-gen Manufacturing Conference of Xuelang Town took place in Wuxi Taihu New City in East China's Jiangsu province on June 25.
A number of Wuxi officials, experts, and heads of leading Chinese manufacturing enterprises attended the main summit to talk about the future of manufacturing amid the digital age and regional synergy.
Wuxi Party Secretary Huang Qin delivered a keynote speech at the main summit, saying that Wuxi would like to build a more competitive, influential, and international Xuelang town, an internet of things demonstration town.
As part of the event, an exhibition was built inside Xuelang town with one main pavilion and 10 sub-pavilions for enterprises. The 4,400-square-meter main pavilion showcased cutting-edge manufacturing digital solutions from Lenovo, Fujitsu, and Yinxingu Capital.
The event also included about 20 sub-forums on topics such as the digital transformation of the coal industry, digital twins and visual intelligence, and health service with AI digital.

Xuelang town, covering an area of 35,000 square kilometers, was co-established by the Wuxi municipal government and tech giant Alibaba Group in 2017 to accelerate the integration of manufacturing and the internet by combining investment capital, platforms, and technologies while promoting mutual development.
Officials said that the establishment of the management committee of Xuelang town is expected to optimize its system and mechanisms, as well as accelerate the accumulation of resources like capital, markets, and talent.
In addition, the Xuelang Cloud, a national industrial internet platform developed in Xuelang town, has helped many local enterprises realize digitalization and upgrading.
