Wuxi Urban Operation Management Center officially started its operations on Sept 2. The center features a digital base, as well as a scene application, command, and dispatch system.
It is the first urban operation center with a digital base as its core in Jiangsu province, signifying that Wuxi has taken the lead in the province in building an urban digital governance platform with full coverage, full-time perception, as well as full-efficiency management.
The management center was built by 20 local commissions, offices, and bureaus, including the Wuxi big data administration and the Wuxi emergency management administration, as well as five leading domestic technology companies.
Officials from the Wuxi big data administration noted that the digital base is the most basic and core element of the urban operation management center. It integrates multiple cross-departmental comprehensive application scenarios, such as emergency command, municipal governance, and government services, which is able to provide core support for urban operations like intelligent analysis, decision-making research and judgment, monitoring and early warning, as well as event scheduling.
At present, the digital base has built five basic databases, including a population database and a legal person database, as well as six theme databases, including emergency command, municipal social governance, and poverty alleviation. It is connected to 67 commissions, offices, and bureaus, including emergency response, fire protection, water conservancy, and meteorology, to access a total of 21.19 billion pieces of data information.
