A total of 11 enterprises and departments in Wuxi participated in the offline exhibition of the 18th China-ASEAN Expo, as well as the concurrent China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, which was held from Sept 10 to 13.
The 11 participants, which are mainly involved in service trade and foreign investment, displayed their latest projects and technologies, as well as looked for business opportunities in ASEAN countries during the event.
A new-type of drilling machine made by Wuxi Anman Construction Machinery Co was popular at the smart equipment (construction machinery) exhibition area. A worker from the company noted that the drilling machine was developed with environmental protection performance in mind. It boasts the characteristics of high impact torque, fast frequency, and high efficiency of the power head, but can also be controlled with a smart wireless remote control.
The company also established a special team to further increase its technological innovation.
In addition, masters of liuqing bamboo carving, a national intangible cultural heritage item of Wuxi, showcased their skills and works at the event.
With a theme of "Sharing Opportunities Created by the New Land-Sea Corridor, Building the China-ASEAN Community with a Shared Future," this year's expo aimed to deepen all-around cooperation in trade, economy, and other fields between China and ASEAN.
Held in both online and offline venues in Nanning, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, the four-day expo attracted enterprises from more than 40 countries and regions, with special events held to mark the 30th anniversary of China-ASEAN dialogue relations.
