The 2021 World Internet of Things Exposition, China's top IoT event, will be held in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province from Oct 22 to 25, organizers announced at a news conference on Sept 22.
The event, originally scheduled to be held from Sept 3 to 6, was postponed as organizers sought to enhance epidemic prevention measures.
Featuring the latest IoT applications and products, the event this year will include a main summit, an exhibition on IoT applications and products, an award ceremony, 10 sub-forums and 14 related activities.
The main summit will be held on Oct 23. The award ceremony for outstanding new technologies, products and applications related to IoT will be held on the evening of that same day. Of the 1,780 submitted projects, 10 will be conferred gold awards. These projects are mostly related to IoT innovation infrastructure, the integrated development of the IoT and the digital economy, and the integrated innovation of the industrial internet.
The exhibition of IoT applications and products will run from Oct 22 to 25 at the Wuxi Taihu International Expo Center and feature the latest IoT-related technologies and applications. Its outdoor exhibition area will display application scenarios for internet of vehicles such as automatic driving and road-transportation services.
In addition, 10 sub-forums focused on areas such as smart manufacturing, industrial internet, IoT information security, big data, 5G, artificial intelligence, smart cities, intelligent transportation, and the internet of vehicles, will be hosted during the expo.
The expo will also launch an online version to showcase Wuxi's high-quality IoT enterprises, smart factories and workshops, and major IoT application demonstration projects. Users can also communicate with exhibitors and buy exhibits online.
