A number of popular scenic spots in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province will be holding a variety of special activities to attract visitors during the upcoming seven-day National Day holiday, which starts on Oct 1.
Nianhuawan Scenic Area will offer a sea of flowers during the holiday, with flowers including verbena, sulfur chrysanthemum, sunflowers, zinnia, and cleome to bloom in a field spanning more than 6 hectares.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy a leisurely time at night in the scenic area. A 300-drone light show and firework shows will be held at "Smile Square," with an 18-meter-high moveable sculpture at its center in celebration of National Day.
Lingshan Buddhist Scenic Spot, which is located besides Nianhuawan Scenic Area, will host events and feature a decorative design themed around Buddhist culture during the holiday.

Yuantouzhu Scenic Area, another popular tourist attraction in Wuxi, will host activities like sailboat shows, outdoor music concerts, boat trips, and food fairs, allowing visitors to enjoy the area's beautiful scenery, experience the local lifestyle, as well as taste local Taihu specialties.
In order to promote nighttime tourism, Wuxi Plum Garden will host a night light show featuring blooming lilies at night from Sept 30 to Oct 7.
Huishan Ancient Town will also open at night during the National Day holiday. Activities like music shows, as well as local opera and erhu performances will provide visitors a fresh experience in the historical town.
