Wuxi Lead Intelligent Equipment Co was one of the 10 winners of the Jiangsu Provincial Governor Quality Award, local media reported on Oct 31.
Established in 1999, Wuxi Lead Intelligent Equipment Co has become the largest manufacturer of intelligent lithium battery equipment in the world.
The company has been working on industrial transformation and upgrading by investing over 10 percent of its annual business income on technological research and development. It has obtained more than 1,500 authorized patents in total.
The company now works on eight smart industries, such as photovoltaic, 3C, and smart logistics.
In addition, Wuxi Weifu High Technology Group was nominated for the award.
The company expanded its business to work on fuel injection systems, exhaust gas aftertreatment systems, and automobile air intake systems, as well as new energy drive and smart network technology.
The Jiangsu Provincial Governor Quality Award has been held eight times since its establishment in 2012. To date, Wuxi has won 10 quality awards, four nominations for organizations, and one nomination for individuals.
As the first "National Quality City Demonstration City" in Jiangsu province and the first city of its kind to establish the "Mayor Quality Award" in the country, Wuxi has always attached importance on the high-quality development of its urban construction, according to officials from the quality development division of the local market supervision bureau.
