A total of nine projects from Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province won 2020 National Science and Technology Awards in Beijing on Nov 3.
Among them, three projects won the second prize of the State Technological Invention Award. One project won the first prize of the State Scientific and Technological Progress Award, while five projects won its second prize.
The three projects from Wuxi winning the second prize of the State Technological Invention Award were: the "key technologies and applications for the design and preparation of high-voltage intelligent power drive chips" project, which was co-developed by Wuxi China Resources Shanghua Technology Co, Wuxi Chipown Microelectronics, and Wuxi NEC Power Co; the "precise design of starch structure and product creation" project from Jiangnan University; as well as the "super-soft soil foundation drainage body anti-siltation and high-efficiency treatment technology" project co-developed by Jiangsu Wuxi Xintai Rock Technology Co.
The first prize winner of the State Scientific and Technological Progress Award from Wuxi was the "high-density and high-reliability electronic packaging key technology and complete set of processes" project.
The second prize winners of the State Scientific and Technological Progress Award from Wuxi included the "key technologies and industrialization of solid state storage controller chips" project, the "technologies and equipment for the detection and recognition of complex targets in a marine narrowband environment" project, as well as the "key technologies and applications of biomass solid waste clean and efficient gas energy conversion based on 3S dimensions" project.
The 2020 National Science and Technology Awards were presented to 264 projects, 10 individual scientists, and one international organization.
