Jiangsu Xishan Electric Vehicle and Motorcycle (Electric Bicycle) Industrial Design Service Trade Base was rated as a provincial-level trade in services base, according to a recent list released by the Jiangsu Bureau of Commerce.
The base is China's largest research and development, industrial design, as well as manufacturing base for electric bikes and motorcycles.
In addition, two electric vehicle companies based in Wuxi's Xishan district, Yadea Technology Group and Jiangsu Xinri E-Vehicle Co, were rated as provincial-level key enterprises in services trade.
At the beginning of the year, officials from the commerce bureau of Wuxi's Xishan district visited a number of electric vehicle enterprises, as well as the National Light Electric Vehicle and Battery Production Test Center, aiming to learn about the proportion of industrial design in the whole production process.
After that, the bureau chose four leading enterprises to apply for the key service trade enterprises' list. Trade in services refers to the purchase and sale of services.
In 2021, Xishan district released a five-year plan for the development of its electric vehicle industry. According to the plan, the district aims to promote the development of an electric vehicle industrial cluster and to bolster its industrial design trade in services through the construction of an industrial base and platform, as well as through technological innovation.
The plan states that the exports of Xishan's electric vehicles and motorcycles (electric bicycles) industry will reach 2 billion yuan by 2025, while the export of trade in services will reach 500 million yuan.
