Liangxi district in Wuxi's downtown area will build 109 new parks, covering a total area of about 63 hectares, this year, according to a three-year plan to add greenbelts that was released by the district.
According to the plan, Liangxi district will add about 120 hectares of green space within three years, aiming to improve the city's environment and provide more leisure spaces for residents.

Tianhe Road Park, where a nearly 57,000-square-meter sea of flowers will be created, will complete construction in mid-December. The park will include a walking path and rest spaces. It will also boast a variety of plants and flowers, including February orchids and chrysanthemums.
In addition, the construction of the revetment of the Grand Canal inside the park is currently ongoing.
Jinghai Park is also under construction, which is expected to optimize the landscape environment along the street, as well as provide more parking spaces and toilets for the public.
According to workers, the lighting projects for these new parks were emphasized, as "many locals are used to walking and exercising at night".
